What is it?
The Great Gorilla Run is a 7km charity fun run through the City and Bankside areas of London where runners dress up as gorillas.
Since the first Great Gorilla Run, which took place in 2001, the event has raised more than £1.5 million for gorilla conservation projects in Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Each year the highest fundraiser is rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see mountain gorillas in the wild in Uganda.
This year Hollywood and Sky TV star Adam Garcia will be one of hundreds of great ape fans taking part in the annual run. He will be joined by hundreds of other runners taking part in this iconic event, which will be started by TV legend and conservationist Bill Oddie.
