Blackawton International Festival of Worm Charming

Fancy dress at the festival

When: 6th May 2012

Where: Blackawton, Devon

What is it?

The quirky Blackawton International Festival of Worm Charming takes place annually in the village of Blackawton in Devon.

More than just worms, the festival day begins at 11am when participants and spectators gather at the Normandy Cross for drinks and food.  A parade then follows led by the Blackawton Morris Dancers.  Fancy dress is encouraged and this year’s theme is the Wormcharming Olympix!  Why not enter the fancy dress competition which is free to participate in?
