Art Deco Fair at Eltham Palace in London When: 12th & 13th May 2012, 10am – 5pm

Where: Eltham Palace, Greenwich SE9 5QE

£: Adults 9.60, concessions 8.60, children 5.80, family ticket 25 and English Heritage members free.  Ticket price includes entry to event plus entry to the Palace & Grounds (tickets available for the fair only).

What is it?

With items from across the Art Deco era on sale, visitors can browse quality antique and reproduction pieces at affordable prices in the glamorous surroundings of Eltham Palace – which itself is considered an Art Deco masterpiece.

The Art Deco Fair will feature over 25 stalls, offering items ranging from beautiful art deco furniture to elegant jewellery and objets-d’arts, selling specialist items and many sought after names.

Art Deco Fair at Eltham Palace in London This year, the event will also feature a marquee area adjoining the Great Hall at Eltham Palace, bringing together vintage stallholders offering original clothing and jewellery for the first time. Specialists in art nouveau will also exhibiting in the area.

Originally built as a medieval Palace, Eltham Palace is widely considered one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in England.  Highlights of the mansion’s distinctive glamour and stunning interiors include an indulgent gold-plated bathroom; the family lemur’s sleeping quarters and iconic Art Deco entrance hall. The 19 acres of gardens at Eltham Palace are another delight and ideal for a spring picnic or leisurely wander.
