A Right Royal Weekend at Brodsworth Hall

By Caroline King - May 26, 2012Posted in : Heritage

Brodsworth Hall, South Yorkshire When: 3rd – 5th June 2012 (bank holiday), 11am – 5pm

Where: Brodsworth Hall and Gardens, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

£: Adults 9.30, concessions 8.40, children 5.60 and English Heritage members free.  All children are welcome to join in the Time Traveller Go… events.  An additional £1 will be charged on standard admission for every child, member and non-member, to help fund this  activity.

What is it?

Step back 100 years exactly to the Edwardian era, the year is 1912 and the gentleman of the house has responsibility for a special royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary.

There will be falconry displays, costumed performers, music and a travelling cinema.  Plus there’s also a school for potential new servants and traditional Punch & Judy shows.  The highlight each day is the King’s arrival.  Witness a series of scenes inside and outside the Hall during this event.  Plus children’s interactive Time Traveller activities in the Big Top.
