What is it?
Step back in time to the 17th century as the first Duke of Newcastle, William Cavendish returns to his ancestral home, Bolsover Castle. Watch as he and his retinue of cavaliers show their skill on horseback and the art of manege – the forerunner of modern dressage. Visitors will get the opportunity to hear a variety of talks on 17th century equestrianism as well as witness a range of spectacular displays.
