What is it?

L’Acadco (A United Caribbean Dance Force) with Serendipity Artists Movement presents Ruckumbine.

In celebration of Jamaica’s 50th Anniversary of Independence, world-famous choreographer L’Antoinette Stines responds to Jamaican history and celebrates its heroes, achievements, and creations in a thrilling dance production.

From the roots of Jamaican Dance in West Africa, through the Jonkannu and Kumina dances of the slave trading period, to the remarkable Rastafari, the 20th century’s only new religion, a rich vibrant culture of European, Asian and dominantly African retentions comes to life onstage, in a dazzling physical display.
