Find out more about open water swimming at the H2Open Day

By Caroline King - April 17, 2012Posted in : Alternative Sport

H2Open Day at the Reading Lake Hotel on 28th April 2012 When: 28th April 2012

Where: Reading Lake Hotel, Pingewood, Reading, Berkshire RG30 3UN

£: Open day only: 15 (in advance) and 18 (on the day).  Open day plus training race: 25 (in advance) and 28 (on the day).

What is it?

H2Open Day at the Reading Lake Hotel is a unique day of open water swimming activities and the first event of its kind.

Top coaches including Dan Bullock and Rick Kiddle will be leading coached open water sessions and demonstration swims whilst high-profile speakers including Colin Hill (Marathon Swimming Technical Manager for the 2012 Olympic Games) and Mark Bayliss (ultra-endurance athlete) will be delivering a programme of talks on a broad range of open water swimming related topics.

There will be equipment and services displays, kit testing, hiring and buying, swimming, demonstrations, coaching, seminars, and a season-opener 750m no-pressure timed practice swim.  The H2Open Day offers a ‘taste’ to those who are new to swimming in open water and an opportunity for the more experienced swimmer or triathlete to have an early season swim, learn from the experts and to see what products and services are new to the market.
