A Bipolar Circus with Box of Frogs

By Caroline King - March 14, 2012Posted in : Cabaret, Theatre

Stumble danceCircus' "Box of Frogs" When: 28th March – 29th April 2012 at 8pm

Where: Jacksons Lane, 269a Archway Road, London N6 5AA

£: 14.95/12.95

What is it?

Stumble danceCircus present Box of Frogs as part of the Roundhouse CircusFest 2012.  CircusFest brings five weeks of the best contemporary circus from around the globe.

Box of Frogs is a unique form of entertainment, reveling in the rich history of circus.  Featuring five performers and two musicians, it is an exhilarating blend of high-octane, highly visual performance showcasing a deluge of circus skills including trick-cycling, tumbling rope work and acrobalance.

Surrounded by filmic images of their off-stage lives, someone is depressed, someone else is going to be rejected, another person loses their temper and the two musicians try to help everyone by playing the right thing.  This is a Bipolar Circus; where glitz and danger meet the monochrome darkness of depression in a show exploring society’s perception towards mental ill-health.
