What is it?
With the approaching London Olympics 2012, Vamos Theatre is set to explore it’s unlikely UK roots from the small Shropshire town. Much Ado about Wenlock will be a full mask production with original music, a combination of physicality, theatricality and dance choreography.
The play features characters drawn from the local Victorian community; the butcher’s wife will be practising her hammer throws with un-plucked pheasants; the postman using his letters and parcels to perfect his discus; the local school children, under the stern eye of the strict school mistress and her authoritarian hand, will do their very best! Heart-warming humour and history.
