Where: Jacksons Lane, 269a Archway Road, London N6 5AA

£: 12.95 / 10.95

What is it?

Unlimited Theatre present The Ethics of Progress.

Made in close consultation with Professor Vlatko Vedral (who heads up the Quantum Information Science Group at the University of Leeds) and delivered by Unlimited’s Artistic Director Jon Spooner, The Ethics of Progress is a sixty minute theatrical presentation exploring the actual, imagined, ethical, political, religious and philosophical impact of leading edge research in Quantum Physics.

Jon invites his audience to consider how these developments will irretrievably change the world as we currently view it.  By avoiding jargon and explaining in straightforward terms the concepts of Superposition, Wave Particle Duality, Quantum Entanglement and Teleportation, The Ethics of Progress employs Unlimited’s trademark warmth, wit and charm to push theoretical physics into real life situations and imagines the world as it might be in the not-too-distant future.

Smart, funny and accompanied by projected visuals designed by Mic Pool (Director of Creative Technology at the West Yorkshire Playhouse);  Jon tells the story of how his understanding of the world, and everything in it, was radically altered by his conversations with Professor Vedral.
