What is it?

Argentine restaurant group Gaucho will be hosting the smallest ever polo match in the heart of London’s West End.  Swallow Street, just off Piccadilly, will be turned into a micro Polo pitch to announce the launch of The Gaucho International Polo.  They will be turfing the street in front of their flagship restaurant, Gaucho Piccadilly, and two five a side football goals will be placed at either end of the street.  Taking to the pitch will be England’s finest, Jamie Morrison, versus the great Argentinian player Oscar Mancini in an epic two horse battle.

Gaucho Micro Polo & Gaucho International Polo at O2 arena The match is being staged in honour of The Gaucho International Polo at The O2 arena in London (21st March 2012).  This unique event will bring an Argentine festival to London, uniting high-octane polo interspersed with the music of one of Latin America’s most acclaimed bands, Bajafondo.  There will also be wine tastings from some of the country’s finest wine producers and afterparties continuing late into the night in true Buenos Aires style.
