When: 15th February at 7pm

What is it?

Join The Drum for the Midland’s premiere of Nine Muses, a stylised retelling of the history of mass migration to post-war Britain through the suggestive lens of Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. Directed by John Akomfrah, a prolific film-maker who made his debut with the 1986 film Handsworth Songs, the film deals with the Black British experience of identity, journeys, migration, memory and the power of elegy.

The film will be followed by a Q&A and has a PG Certificate.
