An unusual comedy for Christmas time

By Caroline King - December 8, 2011Posted in : Theatre

When: 9th – 18th December 2011 at 8pm (Sundays at 2.30pm)

Where: The Old Joint Stock, 4 Temple Row West, Birmingham, B2 5NY

£: 10 (concessions 9). You can book a two course Christmas menu and a ticket for the show for 30.

What is it?

Sharon Foster and Next Page Productions bring an unusual comedy to the Old Joint Stock for their Christmas run. Rose Cottage is set in a hospital mortuary where three members of the hospital staff escape for a quiet ciggy break away from the madness of the hospital.  This heart-warming black comedy is about love, loss, immigration and the gorgeous bloke in intensive care.  Carla would rather not speak to her husband, Bernice just wants someone to speak to, Agnieska can’t speak English.  And, of course, the corpses can’t speak at all!
