Jay Leighton is an underground phenomenon of a musician. Presenting remarkably well-crafted songs and a distinctive, heart-wrenching voice, his sound is said to be beautiful, delicate and genuine.
Icarus and Me is a mellow folky-acoustic ramble of regrets that reminds me a little of early Coldplay due to the sorrowful lyrics. Although there is plenty of this style of music around at the moment, it is by no means unworthy of a listen and wouldn’t go amiss on a sleepy Sunday afternoon.
Why not hear Leighton’s music for yourself and listen to brand new single Icarus and Me, which is available now for download.
