What is it?

Pulling Focus Ltd. and the Tabard Theatre present You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown a musical based on the Peanuts comic strip and directed by Anthony Drewe.

West End lyricist Anthony Drewe (Betty Blue Eyes, Honk!, Mary Poppins) directs this Tony and Drama Desk award-winning musical, featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the other much-loved characters of the Peanuts comic strips by Charles M. Schultz.  This London premiere of the revised Broadway version follows last Christmas’s successful run of Stiles and Drewe’s Just So and stars Oliver Award winner Leanne Jones (Tracy Turnblad, Hairspray) and Hayley Gallivan (Spring Awakening) as Lucy and Sally.

Though considered a ‘good man’ by his friends, Charlie Brown has never been able to keep a kite in the air, never successfully kicked a football and can’t seem to win the heart of the Little Red-Haired Girl.  As the Peanuts gang make their way through the day, Charlie wonders what being a good man means as he sees Schroeder’s passion for Beethoven, Linus’s complex about his blanket and Snoopy’s ace flying ability.  With the help of his friends, Charlie comes to realise what makes them all truly happy.

Anthony Drewe has directed several shows including the Watermill Theatre’s production of Snoopy, the Musical.  Anthony is best known for his collaborations with composer George Stiles on West End musicals such as Betty Blue Eyes and Mary Poppins, as well as Honk! and Just So.
