What is it?

Imperial Productions present Who Will Carry the Word? directed by David Phipps-Davis.  Based upon the true story of Charlotte Delbo, a member of the French Resistance who spent almost three years in concentration camps, Who Will Carry the Word? depicts the lives of twenty-one women while they share a barracks in Auschwitz.  This is their story of sacrifice, friendship and the hope to journey back and tell the truth to the world.

Of the French resistance, Delbo wrote, “For months on end, they lived as shadows among shadows, without money, without eating on time or when they were hungry, without any support but that of their comrades whom they met secretly on a subway platform or in some badly lit station to make liaisons, to carry papers, carry plans, carry orders, carry explosives.”

Who Will Carry the Word? features a cast of twenty-one actresses whose credits include productions at Shakespeare’s Globe, The Young Vic and the original West End cast of Legally Blonde.
