Head to Dorset for a foodie feast

Where: Deans Court in Wimborne, Dorset

What is it?

The Feast of Dorset is a food festival that has a host of celebrity chefs and fun-filled foodie activities for all the family.  The harvest celebration takes place at Deans Court in Wimborne, the historic home boasts over 1200 years of food production and is set in 14 acres of enchanting gardens.

Feast of Dorset at Deans Court in Wimborne, Dorset Award winning Anna Del Conte will be hosting a special chocolate pasta demonstration with her granddaughter, Coco (13). Chefs performing in The AGA Rangemaster Cookery Theatre include the Telegraph’s Rose Prince, Masterchef winner Mat Follas and former Ready Steady Cook’s Lesley Waters. Culinary conundrums can be answered in the Q&A session with a panel of experts including Tamasin Lewis.

Festival attractions include over 100 food and artisan stalls, beekeeping, archery, falconry, tours of the kitchen and herb gardens, Chinese tea ceremonies, chocolate making, cheese marquee, pit roast, the Garden Room restaurant, traditional English teas and much more.  Personally I think the idea of a cheese marquee sounds like enough of a day out on its own, mmm cheese…
