Jaipur Kawa Brass Band’s rousing musical extravaganza

By Caroline King - August 1, 2011Posted in : FEATURED-CONTENT, Music

Jaipur Kawa Brass Band at Kimbolton Village Hall, Herefordshire When: 16th September 2011 at 7.30pm

Where: Kimbolton Village Hall, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 0EJ

£: Adults 10 and children 6

What is it?

In Rajasthan, the brass band is a feature of life itself. Tabla maestro and globe-trotting musician Hameed Khan Kawa has created this rousing musical extravaganza, the soul of the contemporary Indian’s feast.  Not just lively music and colourful costumes but a fakir show too, with extreme juggling and sabre swallowing.  As if this wasn’t enough, the show is topped off with a wonderful swirling dance finale!
