Gruesome fun at Whitby Abbey with Top of the Chops!

When: 13th & 14th August 2011, 11am – 5pm

Where: Whitby Abbey, North Yorkshire

£: Adults 6, concessions 5.40, children 3.60, family ticket 15.60 and English Heritage members go free.  All children are welcome to join in the Time Travellers Go… events.  An additional £1 will be charged on standard admission for every child, member and non member, to help fund this entertainment activity.

What is it?

Discover the gruesome antics of King Henry VIII with light hearted performances of “Top of the Chops!” – an amusing play which gives you chance to re-write history and decide the fates of Henry VIII’s victims.

Children can take a closer look into the gory side of history with hands-on activities.  You can also take part in crime and punishment trials, follow a Gruesome Trail around the Abbey and explore some arts and crafts.
