What is it?

West Dean’s Chilli Fiesta welcomed over 19,000 visitors over the three days in 2010.  Now, anticipation is building for this year’s red hot event.  For three days, West Dean Gardens are given over to chilli madness, from flaming food, live music and salsa dancing to Hot! Hot! Hot! chillies – there’s something for everyone!

Admire the vast array of over 250 peppers grown in pots in the magnificently restored Victorian Glasshouses and displayed in pristine rows in every shape and size ranging from serene green through to red hot.  There will be plenty of opportunities to tantalise your taste-buds, with over 150 stallholders selling chilli related items including plants, seeds, sauces and prepared meals as well as beer, chocolate, ice cream, clothing and jewellery.

Cambridge Chilli Farm will be launching their ‘Lucky 7 Sauce’ at The Chilli Fiesta.  It is the first to be made in the UK using ‘Yellow 7 Pot’ chillies.  Firefoods are bringing a new chilli beer made with real ale called Flaming Ale. Dartmoor chilli will also be launching Dartmoor Dragon a white chocolate and Dartmoor Devil a new Naga dark chocolate.
