Wimbledon not exciting enough? Join the City Swingers

By Caroline King - June 25, 2011Posted in : Alternative Sport

When: 28th June 2011 at 12.30pm

Where: Broadgate Circle, Broadgate, London EC2M 2QS

What is it?

Forget Murray Mount, Broadgate Circle’s where it’s at!  On Tuesday 28th June ‘city boys’ will be taking part in the Pro Swingball Challenge.  Men in bowler hats and suits will ‘challenge the Pro’, playing Pro Swingball matches on a specially created tennis court in the centre of Broadgate.  More than twenty sets of Swingball will be placed on and around the Circle.

From midday on both Tuesday 28 June and Wednesday 29th June, teams from local offices and the media will be playing against each other.  There’s the chance to win Swingball and Tailball sets for competition entrants and visitors who turn up to the Circle and ‘have a go’.  For those who just can’t get enough of Wimbledon though it will be live on the big screen from 12.30pm, so there’s no excuse not to go along and watch both the professional players and the Swingball champions.

More info: Visit the Swingball website.
