What is it?
Following a highly-acclaimed Edinburgh run last year, comedienne and raconteur Laura Mugridge has a new theatre show Running On Air. She will be performing for just five audience members at a time in a vintage, yellow VW campervan called ‘Joni’.
In this intimate show, Laura takes the audience on a journey from Lands End to Edinburgh, sharing her experience of marriage, camping and life on the road. With her own brand of quirky and charming comedy, Laura describes a journey that involves fell running and a performance in front of three kestrels on a mountaintop: a joyful investigation into the beauty and complexity of domestic life.
Laura Mugridge’s show has been created in collaboration with her husband Tom Frankland, one third of The Frequency D’ici – the team behind Fringe First Award winning Paperweight. The development of Running On Air was supported by the Camden People’s Theatre, and the upcoming tour is produced by Ric Watts.
