The imperial Roman army invades Cumbria

When: 29th & 30th May 2011 (Bank Holiday), 11am – 5pm

Where: Birdoswald Roman Fort, Cumbria

£: Adults 5.50, children 3.50 and English Heritage members free.

What is it?

Join the massed ranks of the world famous Ermine Street Guard as the imperial Roman army is put through their training.  Witness the colourful and armed Roman soldiers as they practice their combat skills, battle tactics and artillery firepower. Youngsters can join in the drill and training with sessions throughout the day.
