Rokefest beer and music festival

Rokefest beer and music festival, South Oxfordshire When: 28th – 30th May 2011

Where: Home Sweet Home, Roke, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 6JD

£: Free although donations to Rokefest’s chosen charity Helen & Douglas House are welcomed.

What is it?

Rokefest is held at Home Sweet Home,  a 16th Century pub in the village of Roke, South Oxfordshire.  The festival has been running for 7 years and offers 3 days of music, good pub food and real ale.

Music begins in the beer garden at 1pm then on Saturday and Sunday the event moves indoors at 7.30pm for the headline bands.  On Monday afternoon budding singers and musicians will be invited up to the open mic. So feel free to bring your guitar…

Rokefest beer and music festival, South Oxfordshire Food-wise the festival will present a range of speciality sausages designed for the occasion by local butcher Gary Smith.  Home Sweet Home chef Martin will be stoking up the BBQ from 2pm.

Rokefest 2011 is supporting the ‘Helen & Douglas House‘ hospice care for children and young adults raising money for much needed hi-fi equipment for the ‘sensory room’.
