Charge of the Queen’s Cavalry

When: 28th – 30th May 2011 (Bank Holiday), 11am – 5pm

Where: Audley End House and Gardens, Essex

£: Adults 14, concessions 12.60, children 8.40 and family ticket 36.40. English Heritage members go free. Ticket price includes entry to House, service wing, stables and grounds.

What is it?

Behold the pageantry and excitement of Queen Victoria’s army at Audley End this bank holiday, watch in amazement at galloping lancers, red coated infantry and stirring marshall music.  Children can also be put through their paces in our soldiers’ training camp or take part in a hobby horse cavalry drill. Discover what it would have been like living out on campaign in our living history area and talk to our experienced cavalry men based in the stables.
