What is it?

Now in its fourth year, Limetree Festival returns with two new stages, JB’s World Music Stage and Yorkshire Gig Guide’s small acoustic stage which is run by pedal power.  The five stages will be programmed back to back with regional and international artists, focused on taking revellers back to how festivals used to be when music was at the heart of the event.  Nominated for the Best New Festival in 2008 at the UK Festival Awards, 2011 promises to live up to expectations with Limetree’s alternative mixture of jazz, cabaret, children’s activities, dance and DJ workshops and comedy.

Limetree Festival 2011, North Yorkshire This year’s festival features Krystle Warren, Zero 7 DJ set, Carleen Anderson & The Ronnie Scott All-Stars, Transglobal Underground and Celt Islam. Up-and-coming Alfie Ordinary, The Emily Leonard Band and dramatic pop duo Secret Sirens also join the line-up. Set in the natural beauty and tranquillity of Lime Tree Farm, the festival organisers create a complete contrast to the Leeds Festival, held on the same weekend, just down the road but a million miles away.
