Foursight Theatre presents Pertencia

By Caroline King - February 14, 2011Posted in : Theatre

Foursight Theatre: Pertencia, Ledbury Market Theatre When: 5th March 2011 at 8pm

Where: Ledbury Market Theatre, HR8 2AQ

£: 11

What is it?

Pertencia is a wet-nurse. She works for The Butcher. For this is no ordinary shop and this is no ordinary butcher. If you want to make a casserole or start a family he can provide what you need. If you are looking for a special cut of meat to impress your dinner guests or some young flesh to suit a client’s particular tastes he has the product to match your purse. For this is no ordinary shop and this is no ordinary butcher.

A fusion of languages; Portuguese, English, live music, song, physicality; the play, performed by six actors and one musician, is by turns lyrical and grotesque; poignant and funny.
