Half Term Spooky Fun at Hever Castle

Where: Hever Castle, Hever, Nr Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 7NG

What is it?

Younger visitors can get into the spirit of Halloween with Hever’s traditional storyteller, the ethereal ‘Lady from the Wildwoods’, who entertains with spooky stories and ghostly games whilst weaving her way around the castle grounds.  Youngsters can also create model ghosts to take home at the drop-in craft workshops.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, the suspense continues as she lures visitors into the low-lit inner hall of the castle for some spine-tingling tales of the castle’s ghostly inhabitants.  Afterwards, if they dare, families can continue to explore all the creepy corners of the castle for themselves.

Throughout the whole week, the pumpkin trail around the gardens will challenge families to piece together the names of the ghosts of Hever past.  By finding the pumpkins scattered around the grounds, visitors will collect the clues and unravel the identities of the castle’s phantom residents.  All of the completed trails will be entered into a prize draw at the end of the week.

Also available, Halloween Ghost Tours and late evening Halloween Experience.
