Creative Writing tutor and novelist Carolyn Lewis (Missing Nancy, Accent Press and The Novel: A Perfect Recipe, SilverWood Originals) will discuss aspects of working on your novel, including:

Literary Consultant Ali Reynolds will talk about making a success of your work, and the commercial side of publishing. As a former editor in a London literary publishing house, Ali is experienced in supporting writers at all stages of the creative process. She will be covering:
- self-editing
- what is the reader looking for?
- how to ensure your work is marketable
- meeting the demands of literary agents
- inside a UK publishing house
- success on your own terms
Publisher and author Helen Hart will talk about the correct approach to literary agents and publishers in the UK. She will be discussing:
- the submission package
- the one-sentence pitch
- cover letter essentials
- polishing your synopsis
- the importance of sample pages
- professional presentation
The village hall is a spacious new venue approximately 10 minutes drive from Bristol city centre, just off the A370, with ample parking. First Bus services X1/351/352/352. Tea, coffee, biscuits provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
